Dr John Watson - Orthopaedic Surgeon

Dr Watson completed his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Sydney in 1963. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh in 1969 and a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, London in 1970.
Dr Watson's current appointments include Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Gold Coast Hospital, Allamanda Private Hospital, Pindara Private Hospital and the John Flynn Hospital. He is a member of the Australian Medical Assocation, Australian Orthopaedic Association, New South Wales Medical Defence, WorkCover Queensland Panel, Foot Society and Shoulder Society.

Dr Sanjay Nandam - Psychiatrist

Dr L. Sanjay Nandam graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 1999. He became a Fellow of the Royal Australia and New Zealand College of Psychiatry in 2008.
He currently works as a clinical psychiatrist in both public and private adult practice. In addition, Dr Nandam holds an appointment as a Conjoint Research Fellow in neuroscience at the prestigious Queensland Brain Institute (QBI). His research on neural stem cells and the neurochemistry of cognition has been presented at international conferences, published in leading scientific journals and attracted both national and international grants.

Dr Uyen Tran - Paediatrician

Dr Uyen Tran graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 1995, and became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (Paediatrics & Child Health) in 2004.
During her training she sub-specialised in developmental and behavioural paediatrics, gaining additional overseas experience in Vancouver, Canada for 2 years.
Since completing her training she has worked in the public sector in broad areas of general paediatrics, developmental and behavioural paediatrics, and child protection, in inpatient hospital, outpatient hospital and community-based settings.
She is a senior lecturer for the University of Queensland, and regularly assists with training and teaching of medical students and paediatricians-in-training.
Dr Tran has been awarded a Master of Population Health through the University of Queensland.
Dr Tran completed the workshop AMA Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment 5th Edition and was certified as an Independent Medical Examiner with the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners in 2006. Dr Tran has completed the Permanent Impairment Rating Scale (PIRS) training.

Dr Catherine Oelrichs - Psychiatrist

Dr Oelrichs completed her medical degree at the University of Queensland in 1984 and became a Fellow of the Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Psychiatrists in 1996.
Dr Oelrichs has a special interest in the areas of PTSD, anxiety and depression, drugs and alcohol, shock, pain and suffering, psychogeriatrics and illness behaviour.

Dr Jennifer Lockwood - Psychiatrist

Dr Jennifer Lockwood graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 1986, and became a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists in 1994.
Since completing her specialty training she has worked in a variety of roles that reflect her broad interests in psychiatry. She has worked in the public sector in the areas of inpatient care, community psychiatry, Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry (with particular experience in infectious diseases and palliative care) and early psychosis intervention.
She has worked for the University of Queensland as a clinical lecturer and was the Director of Post Graduate Training in Queensland for 2 years.
Since 2000, she has worked in private practice as a general psychiatrist with an interest in psychotherapeutic treatments. Dr Lockwood has been doing regular medico-legal assessments and reports since 2000, and has been working with Medconsultants since early 2006. Dr Andrew Christensen - Psychiatrist

Dr Greig Richardson - Psychiatrist

Dr Richardson graduated from the University of Queensland in 1986 and became a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists in 1995.
Since that time Dr Richardson has been involved in both the private and public system as a Consultant to the New Farm Clinic Private Psychiatric Hospital and the Princess Alexandra Hospital.
In addition to this Dr Richardson has been a Visiting Consultant to the Palm Beach Currumbin Clinic working in the areas of general psychiatry and alcohol and drug rehabilitation.

Dr Riccardo Caniato - Psychiatrist

Dr Greg Knight - Occupational Physician

Dr Knight graduated from Melbourne University in 1973 with Bachelors in Medicine & Surgery (Honours). His early clinical experience included work within the Professorial Units of Medicine-Surgery & Psychiatry at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, anaesthetic/intensive-care at Geelong Hospital, and foundation of the Lara-Lake Medical & Dental Complex.
He began specialising in Occupational Medicine in 1985, graduated from the National Occupational Health & Safety Commission (Worksafe Australia) course in Sydney in 1986, and subsequently held a number of senior Management (Occupational Health) roles within the ‘automotive & marine’, ‘primary aluminium’, and ‘offshore oil & gas’ industries. During this period he also completed a Master of Public Health from Monash University in 1991 and gained Fellowship of the Australasian Faculty of Occupational Medicine (by Examination) in 1995.
His primary research interest was in "Pot-room Asthma" in the primary aluminium industry. He also identified and co-published [MJA 2002;176(11):521-523] the sentinel Australian case (2001) of anaphylaxis due to Red Imported Fire-Ant stings.
In recent years his work has migrated into consultant/advisory or Medico-legal reporting roles, voluntary duties as Qld State Councillor for his Faculty (2001-2005), and participation as a Member/Deputy-Chairperson of the General Medical Assessment Tribunal (GMAT) organised via Q-COMP; and he is also a Member of the Health Advisory Assessment Panel for the Qld Nursing Council. His forensic area of interest is work-fitness/unfitness in relation to physical and/or mental impairment.

Dr Kerry Outerbridge - Orthopaedic Surgeon

Dr Outerbridge has been a practicing Orthopaedic Surgeon for the past 28 years. His primary medical degree was achieved at Melbourne University in 1972. Dr Outerbridge received his Fellowship in Orthopaedic Surgery from the College of Surgeons in Canada in 1980 and from the College of Surgeons Australia in 1999.
He practiced orthopaedics in Canada from 1981 to 1995 and then moved to Brisbane to become a full-time Associate Professor of Orthopaedics at the University of Queensland.
Dr Outerbridge is currently working full-time as a private practitioner in orthopaedic surgery with special interests in trauma, arthroplasty and general orthopaedics.

Assessment Services in Psychology (ASP) is a forensic psychology practice specializing in psychological assessment of personal injury claimants. ASP director, Dr Lucille Douglas, is a U.S. trained Clinical Psychologist who has more than twenty years of experience in assessing adults and children in psychiatric, neurological, and educational settings. Dr William Douglas - Rheumatologist/

Dr Douglas graduated in medicine (University of Queensland) in 1956. He gained Membership of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (1961), Fellowship of that College in 1971 and Life Fellow since 2002.
He gained Membership of the Royal College of Physicians London (1963) and Fellowship of that College in 1993.
Dr Douglas specialised in Rheumatology and in general medicine in Brisbane. He has a particular interest in medico-legal medicine and has prepared medico-legal reports for legal firms, insurers and Q Super since 1984. Dr Douglas has been trained in the use of the AMA Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment and currently uses the Fifth Edition. He has frequently appeared in court as an expert witness.
He is Assistant Chair for Q Comp Medical Tribunals.

Dr James Muir - Dermatologist

Dr Muir completed his dermatology training in 1994. He works in private practice at the Belmont Specialist Centre and is the head of the dermatology department at the Mater Hospital, South Brisbane.
Dr Muir has been a deputy chair for the dermatology medical assessment tribunal for Q-Comp for the last four years and is the chairman of the Brisbane Hospitals Dermatology Group. He is the dermatologist for "TeleDerm National" an online educational and consultational dermatology service run by the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine.
