Emeritus Professor Ivor Jones - Psychiatrist
MD, FRCP, FRANZCP, FRC, Psych
Professor Jones gained his medical degree from the University of London in 1954. In 1968 he was awarded the John F Williams Prize from the Australian & New Zealand College of Psychiatrists. Professor Jones is a Fellow of the Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Psychiatrists.
He was extensively involved in:

teaching in the University of Melbourne, Department of Psychiatry, St Vincent’s Hospital from 1967 to 1987;

examinations in psychiatry for final year MB BS students at the University of Melbourne.
He has been a member of a state Mental Health Review Tribunals and Chairman of a Mental Health Services Ethics Committee.
From 1984-1989 he was Editor for the Australian Forensic Psychiatry Bulletin.
