Dr Tim Anderson - Occupational Physician

MBChB, DipDHM, FAFOEM(RACP)

Dr Anderson completed a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery in 1978 and became a Fellow of the Australian Faculty of Occupational Medicine (RACP) (now Occupational and Environmental Medicine) in 1986.

He is presently a self employed Consultant  Occupational Physician conducting medico-legal examinations and reports, Injury Management and Workplace Rehabilitation assessments and is involved in lecturing and presenting.

Dr Anderson has been a WorkCover approved Medical Specialist (Impairment Assessments) since 2003.

  • Spinal Injuries
  • Underwater Medicine
  • Injuries of Occupation and Travel
  • Military Medicine
  • Education, Lecturing and Presentations

Occupational Physicians bring recognised expertise to the assessment of work-related injury and illness and the effects of illness and injury on the ability to work.   Occupational Physicians have academic and clinical expertise in the assessment of medical impairment that is they assess individuals in a number of medical speciality areas simultaneously and are able to apportion relative work-relatedness etc.   Because of their practical everyday contact with workplaces, they are especially skilled in the assessment of consequent disability and handicap.   They also provide worksite assessments as part of the review where indicated.
